After Remodel 60 Year Old Home Sells For $560K!! | Flip or Flop | HGTV

Christina and Tarek remodel home, that hasn’t been updated in 60 years! The kitchen was redesigned into a modern design by bringing the cabinets all the way to the wall doubling the size of the kitchen, and adding a new backsplash. The yard gets a new looks too with added bamboo and the living room has an elegant bright interior.

Flipping team Tarek and Christina have viewers on the edge of their seats as they purchase dilapidated properties for cash, sometimes sight unseen, and then renovate and flip them for resale. From the nail-biting purchase at auction, to the sometimes-exasperating renovations, discouraging showings and exhilarating sale, will they Flip or Flop?

  1. Sorry Christina, I like the kitchen backslash as much as you do, and I agree with keeping the cabinets a lighter color, but, there just isn't much of a contrast:/ I feel like a black or a black n white or a dark gray back splash would of looked better with the cabinet color. But over all, lovely job

  2. Men designed floor plans in the 60s. All kitchens are small. Yes it is an addition. bath w/o shower is a powder. did that in MBRs in the 60s. why didnt you buy it contingent on the permit issue? I had a house the next city south same age better shape

  3. I am SO sick of the same type flooring and tiles that you see in every flip house. Plus they tore out lantern tile to replace it with . . . lantern tile.

  4. The house is nice its just that its always the same styling
same colour, same grey, same floor boards. Stying needs
to change. The kitchen is nice I just feel not much is standing
out I feel the black splash is clashing. The floor boards a different
colour would be nice… It kind of gets boring with all the same styling!

  5. They really used high-end finishes. The kitchen looks stunning (I use that word very sparingly). The bathroom and garden also looks beautiful. Excellent renovation! 💞👏👏👏👏👏

  6. Probably the worst kitchen tile choice of any of the houses they've done. How can you even admire the great counter tops with that dreadful eyesore looming over it?

  7. They really should have kept the banana trees and the elephant ears along with the plumeria and the hibiscus. It's a true shame that they didn't.

  8. I can't stand how flippers rip out mature plants, toss them in the trash, and replace them with young plants. They have no respect for them as living beings. They should have a landscape architecture/horticulture student intern to work with them in order to save some of those plants. That's my only criticism of T & C. Their interiors are almost always very well done with high quality materials and workmanship.
