In this video we go over calculating numbers on a flip and how to quickly analyze properties with a flip calculator. Give me a follow on Instagram too!
A lot of our wholesale deals are sold to flippers and I’ve JV’d on a couple flips myself. Being able to analyze deals and cherry-pick the really good ones can be a great addition to your exit strategy arsenal.

A good chunk of the deals we sell go to flippers, so wouldn’t it be a good idea to know how they analyze a deal?
My goal is that by the end of this video, you’re going to be able to analyze a property like a flipper does.
What’s up guys, my name’s Kyle and if we’ve never met, I primarily make videos about wholesaling real estate. I’ve done about 30 of those in my almost 3 years wholesaling and I like making YouTube vids.
But I’ve also JV’d on 4 flips and what I’ve learned is that understanding how flips are calculated has made me better at analyzing properties for wholesale deals.
And it makes sense right? A large chunk of the time we are selling to flippers, so shouldn’t we understand how they come up with the price they’re willing to pay for a property? After all, what they’re willing to pay is ultimately how we determine what price we should get for it, and hopefully lower.
Before we get into the calculator though I want to make sure you understand the main parts we’re going to be talking about.
Utilities and Insurance
Now that you understand what these components are, the next thing to do is show you how they tie together in a flip calculator. So let’s jump into mine.
Alright, you don’t NEED this calculator for any of your wholesaling. You’ll be perfectly fine without it.
At least now I hope that after watching this video you understand more what a flipper needs to consider when they’re buying your deal.
