AFLW player Claudia Whitfort and her highly-rated netball coach mother, Jess, are kicking on from their Frankston South home.

The 24 Chetwyn Court residence has been home to the elite sporting family since 2011, when CoreLogic records show it sold for $1.98 million.

The property is now on the market with a $2.9-$3.1 million price guide.

Inside the sophisticated home.

The listing comes after Jess — the 2019 Netball Victoria Coaching Excellence award winner — relocated with the rest of the family to the Sunshine Coast, where she’s taken up a new coaching role.

Claudia lined up for St Kilda in the 2020 season, having switched clubs after being selected by Melbourne in the 2017 AFLW draft while she was still in Year 12.

She had remarkably only played her first footy match at age 16, having been into athletics, surf lifesaving and netball as a teenager.

When Claudia joined the Saints, coach Peta Searle described the 20-year-old as a “really fast and powerful” footballer who brought “a level of versatility to the list”, having played across the halfback wing for Melbourne.

The Whitfort family home is set on a landscaped 7812sq m landholding, with a tennis court and pool, on one of Frankston South’s most prestigious streets.

The grand sandstone residence offers five bedrooms, three bathrooms and multiple living areas across two levels.

RT Edgar Mt Eliza director Vicki Sayers said the vendors had loved having plenty of space for their children to play, indoors and out.

“It’s like living in a country manor on a small acreage, yet you’re close to the shops, schools, ovals and amenities,” she said.

“And you’ve got views to the bay.”

Fireplaces, high ceilings, decorative picture rails, cornices and rosettes, and solid-timber floors ensure the house is filled with charm.

The large kitchen is an entertainer’s dream, flowing into the dining and family living areas, and featuring stone benchtops and quality appliances.

Also occupying the lower level are a bar, four bedrooms, and a rumpus room.

The upstairs parents’ zone has an ensuite, retreat, office and balcony, and offers beautiful bay views.

A triple garage and a shed complete the property, which is being sold privately.
