How’s the market?

Seems pretty straightforward, right? If you’re an agent you probably get asked this question by everyone in your database, your friends and family, random people in the supermarket, the list goes on.

You probably do an alright job answering it too! Give a quick rundown of how things are going and then move right along, but how often are you turning this question into an appointment? How often are you using this as an opportunity to learn more about the person asking and see if you might be able to help them – even if it’s months from now?
