Agents selling the newly refurbished Bronte apartment owned by the US-based Woo family are hoping to attract the eye of a returning expat over the summer.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom top-floor apartment with double parking at 3/13 Bayview St isn’t listed to go to auction until February 1 with a price guide of $4.7 million.
But Angus Gorrie of McGrath doesn’t expect it go last that long. “It’s got great ocean views, a pool and it’s recently been refurbished,” he said.
“And you can have all that for half the price of a house, which would cost about $10 million.”
It could suit a professional couple, downsizer or another investor — CoreLogic indicates it has been collecting $3400 a week in rent.
Property records show the Woos bought the apartment when it was new for $4.2 million in 2008.
The apartment has a split-level design with 345 sqm on title and direct lift access.
Premium finishes have been used in the renovation, which included new bathrooms.
And there are stone benches and an Ilve stove in the kitchen.
The master suite has a private balcony, ocean views and a walk-in wardrobe.
The apartment also has ducted airconditioning, upgraded plumbing and electrics with more than 20 sqm of storage space.
